  Timothy M. Houlihan, Treasurer

Tim is a graduate of The College of the Holy Cross (BA) and Babson College (MBA). He has spent most of his career in auditing and accounting. He is currently a Shared Services Controller for the Advanced Ceramics Division of Saint Gobain Corportation.

He joined the WYO Board of Directors in the fall of 2006 to take over the accounting functions. He was elected Treasurer in August 2007. He has been associated with the orchestra since the late 1990’s when the daughter of a co-worker was playing in the orchestra.
 

Thomas P. O’Leary, Board Member

Tom O’Leary is a Senior Contracts Manager for Raytheon Company. He has volunteered with the orchestra in various capacities since 2003. He received his BA in economics from Boston University in 1975
 


Bruce Hopper, Acting Chair

Bruce E. Hopper is an attorney with offices in Worcester and Auburn, MA. He has served on the Board since 2008. He graduated cum laude from Sufolk University Law School and cum laude from Northeastern University with a degree in finance. His son currently plays in the orchestra. Attorney Hopper also serves on the boards of Auburn Youth and Family Services and the Mohegan Council Boy Scouts of America as well as coaches Special Olympics. He plays his trumpet on rare occasions and, even rarer, upon request.


David L Hendry, Secretary

Dave Hendry is a Communications System Engineer for the Raytheon Company. He has been a board member since 2008. His daughter was a member of the orchestra for 6 years until her graduation from high school in June 2009. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1975.


Lisa Leach, Board Member

Lisa Cohane Leach is the Performing Arts Liaison for the Worcester Public Schools. Mrs. Leach manages curriculum, supervises teachers, produces and directs fundraising concerts and is active in many local arts orientated organizations, such as the Worcester Cultural Coalition, the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education, Arts Education Advisory Committee, and the Worcester Chorus. By providing the bridge between the public schools and the Worcester Youth Symphony Orchestra, Mrs. Leach believes we can best meet the needs of all our student musicians, challenging them to rehearse, practice, and perform at high levels.
