The
Worcester Youth
Orchestras has
enjoyed an exciting
educational
partnership with the
Boston Symphony
Orchestra since the
fall of 2003. The
Worcester Youth
Orchestras are the
only youth orchestra
program in New
England that
maintains an ongoing
partnership with the
BSO.
Hailed as one of the
finest orchestras in
the world, our
relationship with
the Boston Symphony
Orchestra has given
us unparalleled
access to some of
the best musicians
in the field.
Through this
partnership, members
of WYO have the
opportunity to
attend concerts and
rehearsals of the
BSO and to receive
training from
players via master
classes and side by
side rehearsals in
addition to
participating in
various BSO
educational
programs.
Each summer, a
handful of our
youngest and
brightest orchestra
members are selected
by the BSO to
participate in their
summer DARTs program
in the Berkshires.
