Auditions are open to all
serious string, wind, brass,
harp, and percussion
students, in grades 3-12
that are enrolled in private
lessons.
Audition
Requirements:
WYSO
WYSO string players must be
able to readily play through
5th position, have 3 octave
major and minor scales
prepared, and be able to
play off the string. Winds
players should be familiar
with all of their various
clefs and should be able to
transpose when applicable.
To audition for WYSO, please
prepare two contrasting
works, three scales (2
major, 1 minor), and be
prepared to sight read.
WYCO
String players must be able
to vibrate, play 2 octave
scales, and shift through
the 3rd position. Winds
players must be confident in
their primary clef and be
ready to begin transposing.
